Overview
Coursify helps users generate, organize, and read AI-assisted learning content. We collect only the information needed to provide the service, protect accounts, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
- Course, research, prompt, and document content users create or import into Coursify.
- Usage information such as generation history, credit usage, feature interactions, and error logs.
- Device and technical information such as browser type, IP address, and performance data.
- Optional provider API keys or tool keys that users save for bring-your-own-key features.
How we use information
- To create and manage user accounts.
- To generate courses, summaries, research notes, quizzes, and related learning content.
- To store drafts, published courses, usage history, and account settings.
- To prevent abuse, enforce limits, troubleshoot issues, and keep the service secure.
- To communicate about support, product updates, waitlist status, and service changes.
AI providers and subprocessors
Coursify may send user prompts, source material, and generated content to AI, search, storage, analytics, authentication, and infrastructure providers that help operate the product. These providers process data only for the service functions they support.
User API keys
When a user saves provider keys, Coursify stores them to enable user-selected integrations. Keys are used only for the features the user activates. Users can remove saved keys from account settings at any time.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect Coursify and its users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
Data retention
We keep account and content data while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. Some logs and backups may be retained for a limited period for security, reliability, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
User choices
- Users can edit or delete their own course and research content where the product allows.
- Users can remove saved provider keys from settings.
- Users can request account or data deletion from the Data Deletion page.
- Users can contact support for access, correction, export, or deletion questions.
Children
Coursify is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
